SUMMARY:Mastering Bitcoin - Self Custody Group Workshop - Auckland
DESCRIPTION:Take full control of your bitcoin.\n\nMost people who own bitco
in leave it sitting on an exchange\, where somebody else holds the keys. Th
is workshop is the step after that. You will generate your own private keys
on a physical wallet\, and leave knowing how to use it properly.\n\nRun by
Francisco Colombo and Luli of Bitcoin Journey\, who have taught this works
hop around New Zealand and in Spanish across Latin America.\n\nWhat you wil
l do\n\n- Generate your own private keys using a physical wallet\n- Receive
and send bitcoin securely\n- Apply best practices for storing it long term
\n- Optimise network fees\n- Protect your privacy\n- What is included\n\nYo
ur ticket includes a physical wallet to take home and NZ$5 of bitcoin\, so
you practise real transactions on the day rather than reading about them.\n
\nWhat to bring\n\n- Just bring your laptop.\n\nOnly 10 places available
 — early registration is recommended.\n\nThis is a hands-on session\, not
a lecture. It is limited to ten people so everyone gets time with their own
wallet.\n\nNew to bitcoin?\n\nTwo free introductory sessions will run earl
ier that week: Friday 23 October at 5:00 PM and Saturday 24 October at 9:30
AM. They’re a great place to start if you’re not yet holding any Bitco
in: Getting Off Zero – Wellington.\n\nThis workshop is run and delivered
by Bitcoin Journey. Nothing in it is financial advice. Questions: info@bitc
