SUMMARY:WTF Biathlon
DESCRIPTION:The WTF Biathlon is a race in the tradition of the Pecos Run 'n
Gun and Zombie Destruction Biathlon\, where body\, mind\, marksmanship and
gear are tested (vigorously) in field conditions. The course is about 5 mi
les long\, with various obstacles and 6 to 8 shooting stations. The terrain
is very challenging and the obstacles are physically demanding. Shooting d
istances range from up close and personal out to about 500 yards. Much of t
he shooting is in unusual positions and at unknown distances. Range estimat
ion and other problem-solving skills will definitely come into play. Partic
ipants must be prepared to handle some physical exertion and be familiar wi
th their firearms’ operation.\n\n \n\nWith the exception of emergencies\,
Range Officers (ROs) are not allowed to help participants in any way. Good
attitudes are a must. If you are the type of person who gets upset when mi
nor changes are made to a plan or when you don’t always get your way\, th
is is not the event for you. This event is being hosted by very generous i
ndividuals on their private property -- all participants must show strict r
espect for the owners and their property.
